Who we are
Tropos Networks is recognized as the world leader in providing Wi-Fi mesh networks, with over 500 customers using
our products in a variety of applications that improve productivity and efficiency. For example, our products are used
to improve public safety by enabling wireless video surveillance, and to increase government efficiencies via wireless
municipal applications such as automated meter reading and building inspections.
What we do
Tropos Networks is revolutionizing mobile Internet access by providing innovative products, tools and techniques to
create
the fastest, lowest cost and simplest broadband access networks in the world. Our MetroMesh solution combines distributed
mesh intelligence with purpose-built hardware platforms and centralized configuration, management and
analysis tools.
Each router is based on open standard Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g) technology, with single and dual mode radios for outdoor
usage, as well as mobile and indoor routers to extend the network.
What’s new
Tropos has just introduced new products that operate in the licensed 4.9 spectrum dedicated to public
safety applications.
We have a new multi band router Tropos 9532 – which provides both 2.4 and 4.9 connectivity, and a new mobile unit –
Tropos 9422 - for mobile public safety users such as first responders. These new products provide more opportunities
for resellers to sell into cities requiring products that operate in the 4.9 spectrum.
