2020 Chris Hill Testimonial Brochure

I first come across Hilly in a pre
season game when Warrington
played Leigh, he was outstanding.
We played against them again the
following pre season and he was
even better, so I knew it wasn’t a one
off the year before. He stuck out like
a sore thumb, I thought he was
definitely Superleague material.
I was delighted when Warrington
signed him at the back end of 2011.
He was still a baby then but he
wasn’t content with just being in
the squad - he trained like a mad
man and forced his way into the
team. Such was his rise at the Wire.
In just over a year there, he had won a
Challenge Cup and was the starting
prop for England.

I left Warrington at the end of 2013,
but I can’t remember him having
a bad game, his consistency was
absolutely incredible.
In my opinion, the added responsibility
of the captaincy was a great move
by the club.
I’m made up Hilly has been granted
a testimonial.
