For example,female-related illnesses, maternity care,newborn baby coverage, and more.For moms-to-be (and even dads-to-be),ladies-exclusive insurance that includesmaternal coverage provides somethingfor parents to fall back on shouldunexpected medical expenses duringpregnancy or labour arise.For instance, Prudential’s PRULadypolicy covers all mothers-to-be againstpregnancy complications and theirchildren against congenital illnessessuch as spina bifida, cleft lip, ventricularseptal defects, and others. The coveragealso accounts for unfortunate conditionsresulting in the loss of a child, includingdisseminated intravascular coagulation(after seven months of pregnancy),ectopic pregnancy, eclampsia, latemiscarriages after the 18th week, anddeath of a foetus or an infant after 30days of birth.The plan also includes childbirthbenefits, which you can claim up tothree times. On top of this, you arealso provided coverage for a widerange of female-related illnesses.These include female cancer (breast,cervix uteri, fallopian tube, ovary,uterus, or vagina/vulva) and systemiclupus erythematosus with severekidney complications and age-relatedconditions such as osteoporotic fractureand rheumatoid arthritis.Other women-specific health policiesmay also incorporate coverage forinfertility.
