Election a choice of a more certain future
Mackellar MP Jason Falinski says it is
important to note that over the past
three years, during Australia’s greatest
test since World War II, communities
came together rather than fell apart.
“This sense of community points to
an even brighter future for all of us,” he
said. “We followed a plan, we helped each
other to reach milestones and as a result
Australia has come out of COVID-19 leading
the world, with the highest vaccination
rates, the lowest death rates, one of
the highest economic growth rates and
the lowest unemployment rate in over 40
years.
“Our nation and its people have shown
resilience and strength. It is delivering
a strong economy and an even stronger
future.
“As your voice In Canberra, I have
prosecuted our vision for a fair and more
prosperous Australia. That is why in this
term of government I’ve brought down
reports on creating a taxpayer advocate;
establishing a retail corporate bond
market; reducing regulations and taxes
on employee share schemes; reforming
bankruptcy laws; competition law
and housing affordability as chair of
two major committees. The bipartisan
Economics Committee that I chair has
held APRA, ASIC, the big four banks, Big
Super and the RBA to account.”
In Mackellar, Mr Falinski said he had
“never lost sight of building a more
inclusive and compassionate community,
full of opportunity for everyone to live
the best lives of their choosing”.

Beaches,” he said.
“I have made sure our precious coastline
is protected and preserved for this
generation and the next by fighting to
end Labor’s PEP-11 licence. Our ‘Net Zero’
future is happening in Mackellar, with
8,870 rooftop solar panels across the
electorate.
“We have secured millions to upgrade
local surf clubs, sports grounds and support
businesses. And there is so much
more to do.
“There is a lot at stake this election.
The next government must provide
certainty in uncertain times. Our record
shows we are in a strong position to
manage these challenges and create opportunities.
“We have rolled out a plan that will
create 1.3 million jobs in the next five
years. We are investing in jobs of the future
through a new digital economy. Our
‘Net Zero’ plan will grow our economy,
create new jobs, secure our energy supplies,
and not put pressure on energy
prices.
“And we have made record investments
into defence.
“When it comes to challenges, we have
said what we meant, and meant what we
have said. We commit to do things, we
do them, and do not hide behind nebulous
conditions, slogans and clichés.”
Mr Falinski said Australians deserved
a future and a clear plan to get there.
“They need to know who the candidates
will support into government,”
he said. “If they have plans, visions
and policies, not just a handful of the
slogans.
“On the Northern Beaches we have
candidates trying to sneak into Parliament
without being honest with you,
who they want to represent. Using dark
money donations from shadowy front
groups because they think your vote,
your parliament, is for sale like some
corporate takeover.
“The choices before us are clear: to
continue our journey towards a more
perfect nation, where all can share in our
fortune, where we stand as a beacon of
hope and freedom in an uncertain world.
“Where we reaffirm our belief that the
wealth of our country is not judged by
the treasures we possess but by the gifts
that we share. A nation worth fighting
for, a nation worth so much more than
the sum of its parts.”
