Connecting the west shore<br />
Issac Maxfield, Executive Director of Kaslo infoNet Society<br />
(KiN), appeared as a delegation at <strong>May</strong>’s RDCK Board Meeting.<br />
The not-for-profit internet service provider is in the process of<br />
bringing fibre optic internet service to most communities on<br />
the West Shore of <strong>Kootenay</strong> <strong>Lake</strong>, north of Ainsworth. With<br />
grant funding from the likes of the RDCK and Columbia Basin<br />
Trust, Maxfield updated the Board on how KiN is expanding<br />
into Johnsons Landing and Argenta this year and into Meadow<br />
Creek and Cooper Creek next year. KiN is looking to expand<br />
into other areas within the RDCK to improve connectivity<br />
across rural areas.<br />

Kaslo Summer Music Series!<br />
After a very successful inaugural series last year, we are very<br />
excited to announce the return of the Kaslo Summer Music<br />
Series for 2022! Free live music for the entire community all<br />
summer long every Saturday from June 4 to September 10 at<br />
various outdoor venues in Kaslo and livestreamed online.<br />
