SirGreg Lewis, PPPROVOST GUARDIt is with great pride and pleasure that we hereby announce the Provost Guard’s Super Summer DeluxeAll-You-Care-To-Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, June 11, 2022!Give your bar-b-que a break and come out to enjoy a spaghetti feast for all your senses. We know whatyou’re thinking, and after much discussion, we decided to add a second Spaghetti Dinner to the calendar.Now, you don’t have to wait until October for this Italian taste treat. Saturday, June 11th will be herebefore you know it.Put those cook-out plans on hold and come out to the comfort of the air-conditioned All-Purpose Roomat the Rajah Complex and indulge yourself in this repast of pasta with all of the trimmings. We’ll beserving up an exceptionally scrumptious dinner of pasta, meatballs, delicious sauce, fresh baked bread, crispsalad and soft drinks from 3 until 7 p.m., all for the amazing price of just $9.00 per person.We will also have a large selection of homemade, freshly baked pies, cakes, cookies and other goodies forsale as well. We’ll be serving sit-down dinners with take-out and curb-side pick-up also available. Plenty of free and easy parkingon-site and YES, tickets will be available at the door.We know this may be short notice as time is running out but PLEASE plan to join us on Saturday, June 11th! YOU will not bedisappointed.In other Provost News, we are looking forward to againhelping at the Pote’s Picnic, Wednesday, August 3rd, thePretzel Bowl at Albright College this Fall, the Sportsman’sRaffle in September and the M.A.S.A. convention in VirginiaBeach, as Ill. Sir Jared Kichline, PP, moves up the line of theMid-Atlantic Shrine Provost Guard Association.So, why haven’t you joined the Provost Guard yet? There’salways room for one more. We meet on the third Tuesday ofthe month at 7:00 PM, in the All-Purpose Room at the RajahComplex. Stop in and see what all of the excitement is about!18
Jere Lesher,PPLEGION OF HONOROur Commander’s Ball, honoring Commander Fred Olinick, is just a few days away. At the time ofwriting this article, I have no idea how many reservations we received. There were several conflictingevents of other Temples on this same date, such as the Zem Zem Pote’s Ball. Here’s hoping for a goodturnout.We also have the Legion Family Picnic on July 16, which includes the very popular Barnyard Bingo.Everyone wins a prize. You won’t go away rich, but you won’t go away hungry either.We are planning a bus trip to attend the 2023 Virginia International Tattoo in Norfolk Virginia.Information will be coming to you in the near future. Dates are April 21 & 22, 2023. We have traveled tothis event several times in the past. The event was not held in 2021 because of Covid 19 and we were alittle too late to make reservations for this year. We always have a few other very interesting places to stopgoing and returning during the trip. We’re still in the planning stage here. Everyone who has been on thesetrips before loved it. If there were any complaints, I didn’t hear them. Just ask around.Here’s looking to a good year for our Illustrious Sir Joe Hagan, Sr. He has been a supporter of the Legionfor many years as well as to our entire Rajah Shrine. He supports all of us.
