© N.LACROIX, CD83© N.LACROIX, CD83Un lieu cultureld'exceptionL'Hôtel Départemental des Expositions du Var est installédans un lieu patrimonial d'exception, au cœur de la villede Draguignan, dans un bâtiment situé dans l'aile droitede l'actuelle sous-pré fecture et construit en 1890 parl'architecte-ingénieur Clavier pour y abriter les premièresArchives départementales. Ce bâtiment a été rénovéet aménagé entre 2017 et 2020. Le Département du Vara souhaité faire de l'HDE Var un nouvel espace cultureldépartemental dédié uniquement à des expositionstemporaires. Ces dernières sont principalement organiséesdurant les mois d'été et durant les mois d'hiver. Uneprogrammation culturelle adaptée et variée accompagneles expositions. Des actions de médiation destinées augrand public et aux scolaires ainsi que des conférenceset événements culturels sont également organisés enlien avec les expositions.A cultural placeof exceptionThe Hôtel Départemental des Expositions du Var is locatedin an exceptional historic place, in the heart of the town ofDraguignan, in a building located in the right wing of thepresent subprefecture and built in 1890 by the architectengineerClavier to house the first departmental archives.This building was renovated and fitted out between 2017and 2020. The Département du Var wanted to make theHDE Var a new departmental cultural space dedicated onlyto temporary exhibitions. The latter are mainly organisedduring the summer months and during the winter months.An adapted and varied cultural programme accompaniesthe exhibitions. Mediation activities for the general publicand schoolchildren as well as conferences and culturalevents are also organised in connection with the exhibitions.43
