Nurturing Future Leaders
Excellent command of the English language is critical for children to succeed in the international realm of higher education
and the competitive work environment. Recognising the need for improved English teaching standards, Ms Florence Tee
put things into motion in 2012 when she founded IGS English, which was then housed in a modest venue with only a few
students. Today, this centre is renowned as a multi-award English learning space offering top-notch courses in reading,
writing, communicating and public speaking to more than 200 children.
Located in an affluent shopping mall in Selangor, IGS English has a wide range of courses for students amid a conducive
and comfortable environment. Their programmes are specially designed for children from 4 to 12 and include Starter’s
English, Reading Programme, Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Leadership English, IGCSE English, Cambridge English and
Singapore English. Throughout the years, Ms Florence and her team of educators have dedicated themselves to improving
how English is taught, which has since garnered them a strong standing in Malaysia’s education arena.
“We have experienced and passionate English teachers with at least TESOL, TESL, TEFL, and CELTA qualifications,” the centre
says. “To date, we have helped many students obtain scholarships to study overseas. Academic aside, we strive to nurture
future young leaders who can think critically, creatively and communicate effectively. “
