Funding|
Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants
for families on low incomes, raising disabled or
seriously ill children and young people. They provide
grants for essential items such as kitchen appliances,
sensory toys, family breaks, bedding, tablets/computers,
furniture and clothing. Last year, the charity provided
over 150,000 grants or services to families across the UK
with 8,026 families in Scotland receiving a grant via their
main programme. This year, Family Fund want more
families across Aberdeenshire to benefit from their grants
and support.
Family Fund plan to host Information & Support Days
in Aberdeenshire in November 2022, providing an
opportunity for families to drop in at a time that suits them
to find out about local and national organisations that
can support them with a range of issues and concerns.
For example: financial wellbeing, grants and benefits,
local support for carers, accessible social, play and
leisure opportunities, energy advice, housing support,
digital inclusion etc. If your organisation is interested in
the opportunity to exhibit and share information about
your services with families of disabled children, contact
partnerships@familyfund.org.uk.
