Personality Development Camp<br />

Dharwad Shakha conducted a Personality Development<br />

Camp under the Dynamic Leadership of<br />

Sri Jagdeesh Maligi, Karnatak Uttar Prant General<br />

Secretary for Ten days from 11th to 20.04.10. This<br />

was a residential camp for 70 boys and girls between<br />

the age of 10-16 years. The venue of the<br />

camp was outskirts of Dharwad city, in the Agriculture<br />

Officers Training Centre, which is situated in a<br />

beautiful green environment with plush green surroundings,<br />

Eco-friendly isolated place.<br />

The daily activities at the camp used to start at<br />

5.30A.M. with Prayer, Pranayam, Yoga etc. The<br />

lectures on Ramayana, Mahabharat were also<br />

arranged by eminent speakers. Experts trained<br />

camp students in Rope activities - Mallakamba,<br />

Skipping by girls etc. The camp ended with good<br />

and appreciable words from general public and<br />

parents of campers. There were about 700 public<br />

and BVP members.<br />

An exhibition of things learnt and prepared by<br />

the campers was arranged as a Camp Day on<br />

18.04.10 wherein the dignatories of Dharwad<br />

were invited and the Karnataka Govt. Commissioner<br />

for Public Instructions (Education) Sh.<br />

Venkatesh Machaknur was the Chief Guest, Sh.<br />

B.V. Bhat Dy. Director of Education and Smt. Shabana<br />

Shaikh, Deputy Director of Agriculture were<br />

Guests of Honour. The Dharwad Shakha President<br />

Sh. B.K. Kale presided over the function.<br />

The camp director Sh. Jagadeesh Maligi & Smt.<br />

Indira Maligi Secretary Dharwad Branch were incharge<br />

of the camp. Mementos (footmats & candels)<br />

were distributed to the Hon'ble Guests and<br />

Volunteers prepared by the participants of the<br />

Camp. This was a unique activity of B.V.P. Dharwad<br />

which was appreciated by one & all.<br />

Laudable Achievements<br />

1. Dr. Sujay Mehta (Homeopath - S/o Dr. Jyotindra<br />

C. Mehta, a well known social worker & prominent<br />

Medical Officer of Amdavad) has been appointed<br />

as a Member of Gujarat Homeopathic<br />

Council by Govt. of Gujarat. Dr. Sujay Mehta is<br />

a member of BVP Paldi Amdavad & Convenor<br />

Youth Com.<br />

2. Sh. Arunbhai L. Trivedi, a member of Exe.<br />

Com. of Paldi - Amdavad who is serving in<br />

State Bank of India, Amdavad has achieved a<br />

goal in blood donation activity as Union<br />

Councillor of SBI. This union has completed<br />

task of 365 days regular blood donation<br />

camp (without a single day break) with the<br />

help of SBI. Now Limca Book of Records has<br />

incorporated a world record 365 days constant<br />

Blood Donation Camp. Sh. Arunbhai<br />

Trivedi is really very active in such activity &<br />

became worthy for achievement in life of<br />

"Seva".<br />
