Grades 3 - 6 are invited to a costume party at the Rt. 8 Campus on Sunday, <strong>October</strong><br />

23, 5 - 7 pm. Fried chicken <strong>and</strong> drinks will be provided. Please bring a side<br />

FUSION YOUTH BONFIRE<br />

All students in grades 7 - 12 are invited to a bonfire on Sunday, <strong>October</strong> <strong>16</strong> at<br />

MERRY METHODISTS MEET (3M’S)<br />

The 3M’s will meet on Thursday, <strong>October</strong> 20 at noon in the Lower Fellowship Hall<br />

of the Downtown Campus. There will be a presentation from the Area Agency<br />

on Aging, along with a catered lunch. If you wish to reserve a catered lunch,<br />

(cost is $10) contact Erma Summerville at 724.996.4348.<br />

DONATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR FLORIDA RELIEF<br />

The United Methodist Committee on Relief has designated a fund to help with<br />

relief after Hurricane Ian. You can donate through the offering plate, notate<br />

UMCOR - Florida on your check or give online at butlerfumc.com/give. Be sure<br />

to choose the UMCOR - Florida fund.<br />

COAT COLLECTION BEGINS THIS WEEKEND<br />

Are you ready to clean out those coat closets? The Second Grace coat collection<br />

will take place between weekends of <strong>October</strong> <strong>15</strong>/<strong>16</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>October</strong> 29/30.<br />

During the collection, coats can be left at the welcome centers during services or<br />

at the church office Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 3:30 pm. Distribution will begin<br />

at community meal on November 4 <strong>and</strong> at Second Grace on November 18.<br />

DESSERTS NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY MEAL<br />

Are you a baker <strong>and</strong> interested in sharing your talents with those we serve at community<br />

COMMUNITY PRAYER GATHERING - THIS WEEKEND!<br />

First Church is sponsoring a Community Prayer Gathering on Sunday, <strong>October</strong><br />

<strong>16</strong>, at 4:30 pm, Diamond Park, Main St., Butler, in an effort to pray for <strong>and</strong> lift up<br />

those who are struggling with addiction. In the event of rain, the gathering will<br />

be held in the adjacent Grace Community Wellness Center. You may wish to<br />

bring a chair. If you cannot attend the event, please keep in prayer the addiction<br />

community, their families, their friends, <strong>and</strong> the organizations that come<br />

alongside them.<br />
