LISBON SINGS 2022 - Program Book

2nd Lisbon Sings November 10 - 14, 2022 Lisbon, Portugal Enjoying St Martin’s Summer in Lisbon There couldn't be a better time of the year to sing with us in Lisbon: Let's enjoy the Portuguese late summer! When the days in Northern Europe are getting shorter and colder, Lisbon still sees pleasant temperatures. According to legend, the warm, clear days often seen in early November in Portugal are caused by St. Martin's act of charity, making this period also known as "Verão de São Martinho", the Saint Martin's Summer. The largest university in Portugal, the Universidade de Lisboa, will be the center of this new INTERKULTUR festival, where choirs from all over the world can present themselves in evaluation performances and concerts and may also accept the challenge of singing in a wide range of competition categories. Come and sing with us in Lisbon – and celebrate especially the 11th of November, St. Martin's Day, with the first ripe chestnuts and the first wine of the year!

Caros amigos da Música Coral,
É com enorme prazer que vos acolhemos
e damos as boas-vindas na primeira
edição da nova série do evento LISBON
SINGS. Estamos todos desejosos de cantar
e celebrar juntamente com os 25 coros
participantes, num total de 16 países. Este
novo formato de evento, que decorre em
paralelo com o evento ON STAGE LISBON,
Vamos desfrutar do verão
tardio em Portugal com especial ênfase a
11 de Novembro, dia de S. Martinho com a
chegada das castanhas maduras e o vinho
novo!
Dirigimos um agradecimento muito especial
aos nossos anfitriões pela excelente
colaboração e boa parceria. Aguardamos
todos com grande expectativa os próximos
dias de "verão de S. Martinho" repletos
de música, alegria, amizade e memórias
eternas!
Após este grande período de silêncio, vamos
finalmente poder encher os palcos do mundo
com muitas canções - hoje em Lisboa, em
Julho 2023 com os World Choir Games em
Gangneung (República da Coreia) ou em
Outubro 2023 no evento European Choir
Games em Norrköping (Suécia). Desejo a
todos o maior sucesso e ótimas experiências
sempre a festejar e a cantar!
