EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
WRC thanks Board member Bridgett
Battles for leading our Diversity,
Equity & Inclusion Taskforce. The DEI
Taskforce, comprising members of
the Board, staff and volunteers, leads
the planning and implementation of
WRC’s strategies related to embracing
diversity and strengthening equity
and inclusion for all members of the
communities we serve. Key initiatives
over the past year included the
development of WRC’s Commitment
to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,
inviting feedback from clients,
volunteers, and staff regarding how
included they felt in their interactions
with WRC, expanding the Diversity
Spotlight feature of the email
newsletter, and the development
of strategic objectives for WRC’s
diversity, equity and inclusion work
for the next three years.
One client shared that she had
utilized WRC’s counseling and legal
services. The client shared that
her counselor was “compassionate
and kind and really helped her to
empower herself” and the attorney
was helpful as well. The client stated
that she “was treated with respect
from the first time she called” and
was so appreciative because she is a
recent immigrant and is not always
treated this way.

Women Speak
Women Speak, WRC’s interview TV show, continued into its third year in collaboration with MLTV-Main Line
Network on its television and YouTube channels. Host Dr. Mojdeh Keykhah, WRC’s Director of Development and
Communications, interviewed Nicole Stephenson, Executive Director of the Society of Professional Women of
The Main Line Chamber of Commerce and Kristy Olinger, an Organizational Development Consultant with the
Consumer Bank at Citizens Bank and member of its Women’s Impact Network. Due to COVID-19, the interviews
were conducted over Zoom.
