Tower Health is an innovative, leading health system dedicated<br />
to advancing the health and transforming the lives<br />
of the people we serve through compassionate, accessible,<br />
high quality, cost-effective healthcare. The system is<br />
comprised of four hospitals that span three counties and<br />
service almost 2.5 million people in Southeastern PA, just<br />
90 minutes from Philadelphia Together, our four hospitals<br />
and other entities provide a full range of medical care<br />
from prevention, screenings, and education; to the latest<br />
clinical services and surgeries; to rehabilitation. We also<br />
offer wellness programs and public health services that<br />
ensure our communities are the healthiest they can be.<br />
With nearly 12,000 team members, Tower Health includes<br />
Reading Hospital, a teaching hospital in West Reading;<br />
Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville; Pottstown Hospital<br />
in Pottstown; and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children,<br />
a partnership of Tower Health and Drexel University, in<br />
Philadelphia. It also includes Reading Hospital Rehabilitation<br />
at Wyomissing; Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences<br />
in West Reading; home healthcare services provided by<br />
Tower Health at Home; and a network of 27 urgent care<br />
facilities across the Tower Health service area. Tower Health<br />
offers a connected network of 1,238 physicians, specialists,<br />
and providers across more than 143 primary care and<br />
specialty care locations committed to patient safety and<br />
patient satisfaction.<br />
Tower Health’s hospitals have received national recognition<br />
for advanced care in areas such as neurosurgery and<br />
stroke, cardiac and vascular surgery, trauma, hematology,<br />
and oncology. Reading Hospital – the flagship, Magnet<br />
Recognized, acute care hospital of Tower Health – is a<br />
recipient of Healthgrades® America’s 50 Best Hospitals<br />
Award. It is a 714-bed facility that is home to many toptier<br />
specialty care centers, including Reading HealthPlex,<br />
McGlinn Cancer Institute, Miller Regional Heart Center, Level<br />
I Trauma Center, and Beginnings Maternity Center, which<br />
houses the region’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care<br />
Unit (NICU).<br />
Reading Hospital has a long history of medical teaching,<br />
offering more than 20 residency and fellowship programs<br />
approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical<br />
Education and the American Osteopathic Association.<br />
To further demonstrate our commitment to academic<br />
excellence and medical education, Tower Health has<br />
partnered with Drexel University College of Medicine to<br />
open a new medical school one-half mile walking distance<br />
from Reading Hospital, a regional medical campus for<br />
Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health.<br />
The school opened in 2021 and has begun its second<br />
academic year of 200 medical students, Class of 2024.<br />
