Neve Herron spoke exclusively to
safc.com to preview today’s league
match against Coventry United.
Herron offered her reflection of last
week’s 2-0 defeat against Lewes at the
Dripping Pan.
“I think we started well. We had a game
plan that we wanted to stick to. We had
a change of formation but I think we
adapted well to it in the first half.
“I just don’t think we came out as good as
we could have in the second half and we
were disappointed to not get the result
that we felt we could have got because it
was a game of two halves.”
The versatile Lasses midfielder offered
assurances of the positive mood in the
camp despite the dip in form.
“Everyone’s really positive going into
this week. We know how good we were
last time out against them but it means
nothing if we don’t perform this time so
our focus is still the same each week to
come away with a win.
“All the girls have got each other’s backs
and we all want to achieve the same thing
which helps us out a lot so we all just want
to perform, not just for ourselves but for
each other.”
Finally, the 19-year-old discussed the
advantage of playing at home with the
support of the home crowd.
“It’s always nice to have home fans
behind us and help us out a little bit and
hopefully we can get a couple of wins
under our belt and gain some momentum
over the next couple of weeks.”
“Hopefully we can put in a good
performance, score some goals and win
on Sunday.”
