The second edition of the international choir competition "Vox Lucensis" is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2023 for four full days, with the sounds of many international choirs from all over the world to fill the historic center of the city of Lucca once again. A mixture of different styles and sounds that will remain in the memory of locals and participants for a long time! The highly prestigious Conservatory "Luigi Boccherini" as well as the Church of San Paolino offer the best conditions for competitions in categories of secular and sacred music and even top-class evening concerts. Also the recognized Auditorium of San Romano and a number of other famous churches of the city open their doors for a variety of choral concerts. Jean Kleeb è un compositore tedescobrasiliano,<br />

pianista, clavicordista e<br />

direttore di coro. Ha studiato composizione<br />

e pedagogia musicale all'Università di<br />

San Paolo (Brasile). Le sue composizioni<br />

costituiscono un ponte tra world music,<br />

musica classica, musica moderna e culture<br />

tradizionali dell'America Latina, dell'Africa<br />

e dell'Asia. Le sue opere corali includono<br />

Missa Brasileira, Missa Aurea Luce,<br />

Luther Oratorio, World Magnificat, Cantata<br />

Amazonas for Future, oltre a numerosi<br />

cicli pianistici che combinano jazz, world e<br />

musica classica, tra cui Classic goes Jazz<br />

e Beethoven around the world. È curatore<br />

di 21 libretti musicali per Bärenreiter e<br />

Helbling. Nel 2021 è stato borsista del<br />

Deutsches Musikrat con il progetto Schubert<br />

goes Jobim e della Hessische Kulturstiftung<br />

con il progetto Rhythmus Mundi. Ha al suo<br />

attivo diversi CD per pianoforte e clavicordo,<br />

ensemble da camera e coro, pubblicati in<br />

Germania, Inghilterra e Giappone; inoltre si<br />

esibisce regolarmente in Germania, Austria,<br />

Spagna, Brasile e Stati Uniti.<br />

Jean Kleeb dirige diversi ensemble, tra<br />

cui il coro Joy of Life della Kurhessische<br />

Kantorei Marburg, il coro da camera<br />

Klangfarben Gießen e il coro Vozes do Brasil<br />

(Colonia). Nel 2022 è stato nominato Kantor<br />

in riconoscimento dei suoi molti anni di<br />

servizio come direttore di coro e dei suoi<br />

speciali meriti di musica sacra nella Chiesa<br />

Evangelica di Kurhessen-Waldeck.<br />

Jean Kleeb is a German-Brazilian<br />

composer, world pianist, clavichordist and<br />

choir director. He studied composition and<br />

school music at the University of São Paulo<br />

(Brazil). His compositions form a bridge<br />

between world music, classical music,<br />

modern music and traditional cultures<br />

from Latin America, Africa and Asia. His<br />

choral works include Missa Brasileira,<br />

Missa Aurea Luce, Luther Oratorio,<br />

World Magnificat, Cantata Amazonas for<br />

Future, as well as numerous piano cycles<br />

combining jazz, world and classical music,<br />

including Classic goes Jazz and Beethoven<br />

around the world. He is the editor of<br />

21 music booklets with the publishers<br />

Bärenreiter and Helbling. In 2021 he was<br />

a fellow of the German Music Council with<br />

the project Schubert goes Jobim and of<br />

the Hessian Cultural Foundation with the<br />

project Rhythmus Mundi.<br />

Several CDs for piano and clavichord solo,<br />

chamber ensembles and choir, published in<br />

Germany, England and Japan. He performs<br />

regularly in Germany, Austria, Spain, Brazil<br />

and the USA. Jean Kleeb conducts several<br />

ensembles, including the choir Joy of Life<br />

of the Kurhessische Kantorei Marburg, the<br />

chamber choir Klangfarben Gießen and the<br />

choir Vozes do Brasil (Cologne). In 2022<br />

he was appointed cantor in recognition of<br />

his many years of service as choirmaster<br />

and his special church music merits in the<br />

Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck.
