access all areas Phase Two: 2021 – Ongoing Impact in the financial year 1 August 2021 – 31 July 2022 Academic Excellence Student Support In the summer of 2022, the College publicly launched the Peter Neumann Fellowship in Mathematics, raising, to date, just over £500,000 in cash and pledges. We continued to raise support for the Prestwich Fellowship in History, last year raising an additional £37,241. The value of the endowment at the end of July 2022 was £2,023,782 of the £3 million needed for full endowment. We had the public launch for the endowment of the Centenary Visiting Professorship in PPE, to date and raised an additional £200,000 towards this new post (p. 7). Oxford Acheson-Hill Graduate Scholarship in Chemistry established – raising £429,714 from 3 Old Members, along with a match from the University. The Tony Honoré Scholarship and the Ewald Scholarship, both to support graduate students reading for the BCL or MJur in Law continued to receive funds. Last year an additional £10,000 was secured for these Scholarships. Thanks to the legacy gift of Celia Gould, the Cyril Vysove Scholarship was established to support graduate students reading for a degree in modern languages (p. 14).
Access and Outreach Library The new partnership between Queen’s and The Access Project (p. 12) launched in the autumn of 2022. To date, just over £508,000, has been raised from Old Members towards this programme. The Translation Exchange received £18,588 from a number of Trusts, Foundations, and other institutions to further the Exchange’s mission and work with schools (p. 13). In 2021-22, Queen’s received £78,203 from a legacy gift to support the Library Special Collections (p. 15). College also received one legacy gift and one donation totaling £4,125 to support the Library’s Digitisation Project (p. 14).
