SHARON G. MIJA<strong>RE</strong>S, PHD, is a licensed psychologist<br />

and a graduate of the Union Institute and University.<br />

Her education, psychotherapy practice, and<br />

life have centered on gender balance, and she has<br />

led groups and workshops on women’s development<br />

for decades including Institutes for Women and<br />

Global Change in Egypt, Venezuela, Ecuador, and<br />

Costa Rica. Her publications include: The Root of<br />

All Evil: An Exposition of Prejudice, Fundamentalism<br />

and Gender Imbalance; Modern Psychology and Ancient<br />

Wisdom: Psychological Healing Practices from the World’s<br />

Religious Traditions; The Psychospiritual Clinician’s<br />

Handbook: Alternative Methods for Understanding and<br />

Treating Mental Disorders (edited with Gurucharan<br />

Singh Khalsa); The Revelation of the Breath: A Tribute<br />

to Its Wisdom, Power and Beauty; and A Force Such as<br />

the World Has Never Known: Women and Change, edited<br />

with Aliaa Rafea and Nahid Angha. Sharon is<br />

adjunct faculty at National University and Brandman<br />

University, and she is a visiting professor with<br />

the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica. She has<br />

a black belt in Aikido.<br />

RAYMONDE SAVOIE, born in rural eastern<br />

Canada, has been fascinated with dreams ever<br />

since she was a little girl. She has used journaling,<br />

photography and dream deciphering extensively<br />

to heal childhood trauma and its after<br />

-effects, and to discover her life purpose. Fascinated<br />

with the power of plants and natural<br />

spaces to heal both spiritually and physically,<br />

Raymonde also creates herbal remedies, flower<br />

essences and garden designs specifically chosen<br />

to impart healing energies catered to her<br />

client’s individual needs. She now resides in<br />

New Brunswick, Canada and works in a plant<br />

nursery
