be a tough game today against Coventry. Mark
Robins is a manager who should be commended
for the understated job he’s done. I’m lucky
enough to know how it feels taking a side from
League Two to the Championship – but the way
Mark has done that, got Coventry to survive in
this division and then become a real contender
is something to aspire to. It also shows it doesn’t
take incredible money and resources to compete
in the Championship if you have hard work and
good organisation. Mark and his assistant Adi
Viveash are prime examples of that and the
Coventry board should also be commended for
keeping them in charge for so long – they’ve been
able to build and put their stamp on the club.
Well done to everyone who took part in the walk
to raise funds for our Tiger Cubs team today.
This initiative was just starting when I was a
player at QPR and Andy Evans and his team at
the Community Trust deserve a huge amount
of credit – the longevity of the Tiger Cubs is
absolutely brilliant. I was privileged to host the
Tiger Cubs recently after training and meet a few
of the people who run the team as well. It really
does put into perspective what life’s about and the
smiles on those kids’ faces are fantastic to see,
especially when they’re wearing QPR shirts!
Finally, I want to say again – our fans are vital to
what we want to achieve. We need the crowd
to get behind the boys, we need support and
togetherness to get out of the situation we’re in
and I can’t wait to see the smiles on everyone’s
faces when this is achieved.
