The vast firmament
is eaten by worms
…as fire washes
the jaded ground.
…a last sunset of violent colour
as the oceans pour into the skies…
The burning eye dims
sinks and cries as the horizon falls…
Her vision grows ever larger…
a Circle of stars
…a serpent floats
…and skulks in the sky…
aligns over the desert…
…as the tides rise and fall…in a different rhythm…
…thirsting for water
…and blood.
