Helping you BEAT the benefits maze
Are you a pensioner, a family living on a low income or just struggling to
make ends meet? You may be missing out on extra financial support, even
if you work.
The benefit entitlement action team (BEAT) at Citizens Advice Darlington,
Redcar and Cleveland (DRC) is on hand to help you to check if you are eligible
and advise you on your situation and the support available.
Helen Howson, CEO of Citizens Advice DRC, said: "People are under financial
pressure. Many families face extra costs due to disability or childcare.
"The good news is that, even if you work, support does exist and we can help
you get it.”
The BEAT team is supported with £30,000 of funding from the council to help
continue their work in 2023-24.
For more information on BEAT in Darlington and to access eligibility
