Fair and long-term oriented salary policy<br />
In order to remain successful in the long term, we need to attract, develop and retain<br />
qualified and loyal employees. Our remuneration system is geared towards this goal.<br />
Remuneration is designed to support VZ’s strategy and promote a corporate culture that<br />
contributes to long-term success. Client satisfaction is at the heart of everything our employees<br />
do. Therefore, all employees are measured by their direct and indirect contribution<br />
to the clients’ satisfaction.<br />
The remuneration for a full-time position should be sufficient to ensure a decent standard<br />
of living in the employee’s place of residence. As a rule, our employment contracts<br />
are open-ended: At the end of <strong>2022</strong>, only 4 percent of all employees had a fixed-term<br />
contract. Most of these are apprentices or employees working on a project for a limited<br />
period of time.<br />

1 Objective and fair<br />
Objectivity is the basis of a fair remuneration system and ensures that no one is discriminated<br />
against. That is why objective criteria are at the forefront when determining<br />
compensation.<br />
In 2020, VZ Group’s Executive Board had the salaries of the entire group analysed using<br />
the federal government’s standard analysis tool (Logib). The analysis did not reveal any<br />
significant inexplicable pay differences between women and men. PwC reviewed the<br />
results and confirmed that it «did not come across any facts from which it would have to<br />
conclude that the analyses do not comply with the legal requirements in all respects.» The<br />
