Welcome to the May/June issue of
Document Manager magazine, in
'pre-announcement' of sorts of this year's DM
Ian Collis
November. That may seem a long way off, but
John Jageurs
often under-rated Project of the Year categories, as I touch on in our
how true this is in so many aspects of our lives, not just corporate IT
without first seeking out some trustworthy user experiences to give us
You might expect then, that the Project of the Year awards panel is
for £8.50 (includes postage &
packaging). No part of this
from all the competition. Sadly, this is rarely the case, and I have to
Connexion Ltd
admit that I am somewhat at a loss as to why this is.
Articles published reflect the
We at the magazine do our best to promote the Project element of the
opinions of the authors and are
not necessarily those of the
DM Awards as much as we can every year, but each time we struggle to
publisher or his employees. While
every reasonable effort is made
find a really good selection of stories to narrow down to our final
to ensure that the contents of
shortlists. I know these stories are out there - as I said last issue, we carry
articles, editorial and advertising
are accurate no responsibility can
a huge variety of case studies from across every vertical sector, covering a
errors, misrepresentations or any
wide range of technologies and processes.
resulting effects
To me it feels like a no-brainer: if I were considering putting my
company or its products forward for a DM Award in any category, I
would also be thinking "Do we have any good recent user stories that
we can put in for a project award at the same time?". If you are a
vendor or channel partner, I'd suggest you do the same - and in the
meantime I look forward to a record-breaking number of project entries
later this year!
