Plant with a thirst
- for human blood!
T
HE Pomegrante Theatre’s renovations have given
Chesterfield Operatic Society an opportunity to take
their musicals to new local venues and their forthcoming
production of Little Shop of Horrors will be performed at
Dronfield Civic Hall.
Little Shop of Horrors has made audiences scream with
laughter since 1982. In this gleefully gruesome musical, Seymour,
a meek florist's assistant, stumbles upon a strange plant which
he affectionately names ‘Audrey II’ after his secret love - it’s a
plant which starts to
grow, sing and
develop a thirst for
human blood!
Real life couple Chris
Hanlon and Georgii
Bailey are taking on
the leading roles of
Seymour and Audrey.
The show’s director is
Adam Walker, who has
undertaken many
productions in
Sheffield, the
choreographer is Paula
Wilson and musical
director is Kristina Craven.
Little Shop of Horrors is at Dronfield Civic Hall with six
performances from Thursday to Sunday, 20th-23rd July. Tickets,
priced at £19 plus booking fee, are available from
entertainment, including Epico the Dragon, a jester plus a Tudor
musician, across the town centre.
