Setting:
The Homecoming
It is a rainy April day as the clouds begin to soak.
Scene One
The lights come on and we see Jake looking lonely sitting on the bench. He looks into
a puddle on the ground.
We see Tim a young, distressed boy run onto the stage
J: (grumbles)
T: ’’Hey!’’ (He blubbers)
J: ’’whaaaat’’
T: i-i-i
J: Look kid I don’t need another problem on my hands today.
T:’’but pleeeeeease’’ (he starts to cry)
J puts down his newspaper down and looks at him)
J:’’ what do you want!’’?
T:’’i-i-I lost my mummy!!’’
J:*sigh*
J: If you need help don’t come to me, ok? (grumpy and uninterested)
T: But you’re the only person in this park!’’ (Through sobbing)
J: I’m not in the mood to be helping little kids find their mammy! (Ticked off)
T: Can you at least tell me YOUR name SO I can tell EVERYONE that this man is in a
baaaad mood (angry sassy and childish)
J: ’WHHY WOULD PEOPLE EVEN WANT TO KNOW MY NAME!!’’(Angry)
T:’’uuhh i-i-m um sorry’’
J: *sigh* ‘’I’m sorry kid I didn’t mean to lash out on you like that’’
T: i-i-its ok.
T: I know that is touching and all, but I’m still lost’ (he smiles weakly)
