Skipton DTC has over run and will now not be
completed until Friday, August 11. If you or
your pupils are unable to access the centre
due to the work, park behind the test centre
on Carleton Avenue, which is located just off
Carleton New Road.
The waiting room and facilities at the test
centre will still be available as normal.
If you experience any problems on the day
of your test please call the driving test centre
on 01756 793589.
will be open as usual but access will be
affected on August 4, 7, 8 and 12.
The centre will not be accessible by vehicle
all day as races are being held in the city
centre and all surrounding roads are closed. It
will be accessible on foot, but this will mean
using special marshalled crossings of the race
route for safety. Some city centre road
no races.
If you have pupils with tests booked during
Driving test nerves: Call out
to MSA GB members
Everyone gets nervous about their
driving test. Passing the test is one of
life’s milestones that can prove life
changing. It can also create opportunities
to travel and to say yes to job offers that
you wouldn’t previously have been able
to consider. However, for some pupils
those nerves and a fear of failing can get
in the way on test day.
So we’re asking MSA GB members, what
do you do to help your pupils stay
focused and get a grip on their nerves?
Are you an advocate of calm breathing
and mindfulness, or perhaps you think
switching your phone off an hour prior is
the way to quieten those nerves?
Please share your nerve-beating tips for
pupils, by emailing our membership team
on: info@msagb.com.
