FRI 3:30pm - Panel Room 1
Join Fallon O’Neill, author of the Geist series, for a
discussion and presentation on the nature of fan fiction,
literature and their unexpected overlap. Using examples
from JRPGs, anime and manga such as Berserk, Vinland
Saga and their literary influences, the author will be diving
into where these beloved works derive their inspiration. In
this crash course on the myth of originality, Fallon hopes to
provide aspiring authors with the courage to write stories
they would like to read with higher confidence.

us about his career working in a variety of different anime
and video games such as Smash Bros Ultimate, Jujitsu

Anime Unpopular Opinions

Do you have an unpopular opinion in anime, gaming, or
fandom? Come vent, rant, and be heard in this support
group for fans with underrepresented views! This is a safe
space for fans to complain about popular things they
don’t like, sing praises for unpopular things they do like,
or otherwise share opinions we just don’t hear very often.
