Renewed in Spirit
This offseason, perhaps more than ever, you have longed for
a “normal” summer. Now is the time to recharge. There’s
golden sand, playful waves, dazzling sun, and gentle breezes
awaiting you. Affectionately, Ocean Grove is called God’s
Square Mile. It’s a place of revitalization and renewal. Cast
off your doldrums and come to the family-friendly, Christian
beach that is Ocean Grove.
FROM THE PRESIDENT
The 1870 Session of the New Jersey Legislature passed the Act thereby
establishing the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association and its
property as a “permanent camp meeting ground and Christian seaside
resort.” The need for holy living and wholesome recreation is more
necessary than ever. The CMA continues to own and maintain this
land consecrated for sacred use.
Being in sun with the salty air has long been recognized as the perfect
location for health resorts. Last year more people flocked to be at the
shore. More potential patrons sought to buy OG season beach badges
than any other year in our 152-year history. The 2021 season is already
shaping up to be more program filled and exciting than 2020!
The theme for 2021 is Renewed in Spirit based off of a verse from the
Bible.
“…and that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put
on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in
righteousness and holiness of the truth.” Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians
4:23-24 (NASB)
Come to Ocean Grove to experience the freedom to relax. Be renewed
in the spirit of your mind as God creates a new and holy reality in your
heart, mind, and soul.
Michael J. Badger
OGCMA President
