Mark your calendar for our
next Community Fun Day
6 th
July 2024
Warrington & Vale Royal College
was absolutely delighted
with the success of its highly
anticipated Community Fun
Day this year, which attracted
hundreds of visitors to our
vibrant Warrington campus.
The next event promises to be
even bigger and better, with a
confirmed date for your diary of
Saturday 6th July 2024.
The college spared no effort in
organising a spectacular event,
which was sponsored by local
company Equans and from which
all proceeds were donated to St
Rocco’s Hospice. We were joined
by over twenty exhibitors from
highly esteemed organisations such
as the Royal Air Force, the Royal
Navy, Cheshire Police, Cheshire
Fire and Rescue, Kinaxia Logistics,
Cheshire Mix 56, Costco and even
an appearance from Princess Elsa!
Also adding to the festivity was
Warrington Wolves’ lovable
mascot Wolfie, who was a cheeky
presence charming visitors and
posing for photos. Amidst the
excitement, guests enjoyed a range
of edible treats including burgers,
hot dogs, ice cream, cakes and a
delightful afternoon tea in our own
Buckley’s Restaurant.
Visitors also participated in a
variety of stalls and games; such
a diverse range of entertainment
ensured there was something for
everyone to enjoy.
A particular event highlight
was the incredibly popular dog
show. A parade of furry friends
showcased their talent and the
competition was fierce! After much
deliberation, the coveted “Best in
Show” was awarded to Nevis the
Labrador Retriever, aged 11 from
Middlewich, who outshone with his
undeniable charm and skill. Nevis
and his owner, Julie, were proud
winners of a large hamper full
of goodies, donated by local pet
shop Jollyes. The judging panel,
made up of college Principal and
CEO Nichola Newton and Steph
Davies from the RSPCA, along
with the large crowd of spectators,
were incredibly impressed with the
displays of talent and very much
look forward to welcoming the
cheeky canines back to campus at
next year’s competition.
We would like to thank everybody
who came along and made the
event such a huge success – we
hope to see you all again next year!
