Some Tiny Morsels to savour in November
You can't get enough
of these Bad Boys
Newport’s eat street has a new player.
Bad Boys Kebab adds kebabs, pide,
gozleme, Turkish pizza and burgers
to Robertson Rd’s global food scene.
Eat in, or order one of the takeaway
falafel wraps, stuffed with crunchy
pickles, tabouli, salad and hummus
sauce for an impromptu beach picnic.
For something different, the menu has
a camel burger.
Taste of Spain
hits Mona Vale
Hola Bocado! Pittwater RSL’s
newest eatery taps neatly
into tapas. Spanish for
“small bites”, Bocado’s menu
embraces savoury nibbles
like marinated meatballs
and bacon-wrapped chorizo.
There are more-substantial
sharing dishes including
flatbreads and a fiery prawn
pizza topped with chilli flakes
and sriracha mayo. The venue
opens on November 3.
In good spirits
at The Good Bar
Two buzzwords – cube
maturation – are the talk of
Brookvale. Goodradigbee is
distilling its brand of spirits
with an innovative, distinctly
Australian twist. Instead
of French or American oak
barrels, this new distillery is
using native hardwood cubes.
The cubes offer more contact
surface area than barrels so
the artisan spirits develop
their flavour, complexity
and colour much faster than
traditional barrel maturation
processes. Goodradigbee is
also distilling wood-infused
and native botanical gins
and vodka. The Good Bar on
Orchard Rd is open for tipples
and food on Wednesday
to Friday from 4pm. On
weekends, doors open at
noon on Saturdays and from
10am on Sundays.
