A leisurely tour to two of Switzerland’s best-known
resorts. As popular in winter as in summer, the two
lakeside resorts of Interlaken and Lucerne offer
fantastic winter scenery and excursions, for fun without
skis. Explore high alpine peaks, sample Switzerland’s
traditional winter warmer – cheese fondue – and enjoy
a horse-drawn sleigh ride.
Itinerary
DAY 1
ARRIVAL
Individual arrival by train from
Zurich airport to Interlaken.
Overnight in Interlaken.
DAY 2
JUNGFRAUJOCH
Day excursion to the Jungfraujoch –
Top of Europe. Impressive views
of snow-capped peaks and the
magnificent Aletsch Glacier.
Overnight in Interlaken.
DAY 3
NIGHT SLEDGING & FONDUE
Day at leisure. Enjoy some of the
beautiful winter walking trails in
the region or go for a boat cruise
on Lake Thun. In the early evening
meet up for your guided night
sledging adventure with transport
and equipment included. A one-hour
moonlit sled run through woods and
past majestic frozen waterfalls is
suitably finished off with a warming
cheese fondue in a local restaurant.

DAY 4
LUZERN-INTERLAKEN EXPRESS
A scenic journey on the Luzern-
Interlaken Express over the Brünig
Pass. Afternoon at leisure at Lucerne.
Overnight in Lucerne.
DAY 5
MOUNT TITLIS
Snow and ice await at the top of Mt.
Titlis. Travel by train to the mountain
resort of Engelberg. Take a leisurely
stroll through the resort before
taking a set of 3 gondolas to the
3,020m high peak. Take the ice-flyer
over the glacier crevasses, have
some fun with the snow toys in the

Journey by boat from Lucerne to
Vitznau and by cogwheel train to Rigi
Kaltbad. From here take a horsedrawn
carriage or sleigh to Rigi First
and back, then enjoy a hearty cheese
fondue at the restaurant of Hotel Rigi
Kaltbad. Return to Lucerne. Overnight
in Lucerne.
