in order to create a uniform, harmonious<br />

overall impression, it is of particular importance<br />

that the appearance of the logos of<br />

the individual BÖHLER Group companies,<br />

and in some cases the form of the company<br />

name used in the logo, be adapted to present<br />

a consistent image. Production companies<br />

carry as in the past in addition in the<br />

logo (e.g. <strong>Edelstahl</strong>, Bleche).<br />

Sales companies shall refrain from using<br />

PRO FORGE RF100 - A SUPERLATIVE TOOL!<br />

The new forging shop at <strong>Böhler</strong> <strong>Edelstahl</strong> in Kapfenberg is completed.<br />

With this production line <strong>Böhler</strong> is venturing into a new dimension<br />

of forged steel bars. From now on <strong>Böhler</strong> will be able to<br />

manufacture steel bars of up to approx. 550mm in diameter, with a<br />

maximum length of 15m and a piece weight<br />

of 8t with the new rotary forging machine, the largest of its kind worldwide.<br />

The new start dimension of 940 mm means an doubling of the<br />

dimensional range to date. The GFM rotary forging machine RF100<br />

with a maximum forging force of 2,000t (!) and two high-performance<br />

manipulators at both ends for precisely moving bars or ingots during<br />

the forging process is at the core of our forging shop.<br />

CO 2-Emissionshandel<br />

Durch die Novellierung der Emissionshandelsrichtlinie kommen<br />

ab 2013 zusätzliche Kosten auf das Unternehmen zu.<br />

Aufgrund verschärfter Kriterien bleibt ein Zukauf von Emissionszertifikaten<br />

nicht aus. Einsparungen im Energiebereich<br />

können zur Emissionsreduktion beitragen.<br />

Änderungen des Emissionshandels<br />

Durch die Novellierung der Emissionshandelsrichtlinie<br />

sind ab 2013 weitere Betriebe<br />

vom europäischen Emissionshandel betroffen.<br />

Bisher wurden den Stahlwerken<br />

und Kesselhäusern Emissionszertifikate<br />

zugeteilt, die sich mit den emittierten CO 2-<br />

Mengen beinahe deckten. In Zukunft wird<br />

der Geltungsbereich der Richtlinie um den<br />

Sektor der Stahlweiterverarbeitung erweitert.<br />

Das bedeutet, dass ab 2013 vermehrt<br />

Emissionszertifikate benötig werden. Je<br />

nach Produktionsmenge muss ein gewisser<br />

Anteil an Zertifikaten zugekauft werden.<br />

Es werden somit zusätzlich Kosten für<br />

das Unternehmen anfallen.<br />

Kosten durch neue Regelungen<br />

In den ersten beiden Phasen des europäischen<br />

Emissionshandels wurden die<br />

6 EDELSTAHL 2/11<br />

Zertifikate auf Basis bisheriger Emissionsmengen<br />

zugeteilt. Ein Großteil davon wurde<br />

gratis vergeben. In der neuen Phase können<br />

Industrieunternehmen Gratiszertifikate<br />

erhalten, wenn sie „Carbon Leakage“ gefährdet<br />

sind. Für beinahe alle klima- und<br />

energierelevanten Betriebe der BöHLER<br />

<strong>Edelstahl</strong> GmbH & Co KG gelten diese<br />

Kriterien. Mit der Novellierung der Richtlinie<br />

wurden jedoch weitere Regelungen<br />

geschaffen. Ab 2013 erhalten nicht „Carbon<br />

leakage“ gefährdete Anlagen nur noch<br />

einen Anteil von 80% an freien Zertifikaten,<br />

2020 dann nur mehr 30%. Die Zuteilung<br />

der Gratiszertifikate erfolgt nach dem Stand<br />

der Technik. Daraus resultiert, dass ein gewisser<br />

Anteil an Emissionszertifikaten zugekauft<br />

werden muss.<br />

Je nach Produktionsmenge belaufen<br />

sich die prognostizierten Kosten für die<br />

BöHLER <strong>Edelstahl</strong> GmbH & Co KG auf<br />

CO2-Emissionshandelsphasen In Pilotphase I (2005 – 2007) konnten die Mitgliedstaaten<br />

95% der Zertifikate gratis zuteilen. Der Rest wurde ver steigert.<br />

In Phase II (2008 – 2012) können bis zu 90% gratis vergeben<br />

werden.<br />

In Phase III (2013 – 2020) soll der Anteil der Gratiszertifikate<br />

80% und 2020 nur noch 30% betragen.<br />

„Carbon Leakage“<br />

ist die Verlagerung industrieller Produktion und Emissionen<br />

in Länder mit keinen oder geringeren Umwelt- und Klimaschutzauflagen.<br />

Vergleich der Menge an zugeteilten Emissionszertifikaten Zuteilung der Emissionszertifikate zu Sektoren<br />

rund 500.000 bis eine Mio. Euro pro Jahr.<br />

Energieeinsparung zur Reduktion<br />

von Emissionen<br />

Ende April 2014 müssen die ersten Emissionszertifikate<br />

von den Anlagenbetreibern<br />

für das KJ 2013 abgegeben werden. Geeignete<br />

Maßnahmen u.a. im Energiebereich<br />

können CO 2-Emissionen reduzieren. Es<br />

besteht die Möglichkeit energieeffizientere<br />

Technologien einzusetzen, was wiederum<br />

mit einem entsprechenden Investitionsaufwand<br />

verbunden ist. In erster Linie muss<br />

beim Energieeinsatz eingespart werden.<br />

Eine Reduktion des Erdgaseinsatzes hat<br />

bereits direkte Auswirkungen auf die Menge<br />

an emittierten CO 2. Somit werden Umwelt<br />

UND Rohstoffe geschont. Im Hinblick auf<br />

die Zukunft leisten ein gezielter Einsatz und<br />

eine Einsparung von Energie einen großen<br />

Beitrag zur Senkung der CO 2-Emissionen.

Die Aggregate sind die weltweit<br />

die Herstellung hochreiner<br />

Spezialstähle in bisher unerreichter<br />

Prozesssicherheit und<br />

Qualität. Nach kurzer Anlaufzeit<br />

konnte die Anlage im Vollbetrieb<br />

arbeiten.<br />

Diese Investition ermöglicht es,<br />

Wachstumsstrategien bei Sonderwerkstoffen<br />

für die Luftfahrt und<br />

den Energiemaschinenbau sowie<br />

die erhöhte Nachfrage nach umgeschmolzenen<br />

Werkzeugstählen<br />

umzusetzen und Kapazitätsengpässe<br />

zu beseitigen.<br />

Die Investition in Höhe von zirka<br />

30 Millionen Euro umfasst auch<br />

ein neues Transportkonzept, das<br />

den Produktionsablauf wesentlich<br />

flexibler und sicherer gestaltet.<br />

Bei diesem, für <strong>Böhler</strong> <strong>Edelstahl</strong><br />

wichtigen, Großprojekt wurde<br />

auch an die Umwelt gedacht,<br />

ein in sich geschlossenes Hochtankkühlsystem<br />

macht es möglich,<br />

Wasser nicht mehr aus der<br />

Natur zu entnehmen.<br />

Nach diesem wichtigen Ausbauschritt<br />

verfügt die <strong>Böhler</strong> <strong>Edelstahl</strong><br />

& Co KG über acht ESU<br />

sowie sechs VLBO-Anlagen und<br />

zählt damit zu den weltweit führenden<br />

Anbietern von Edelstählen<br />

Die Legierungen verfügen über<br />

beste Dauerfestigkeits- und Zähigkeitseigenschaften,<br />

Fahrwerks- oder Triebwerkskomponenten<br />
