And when the bankruptcy notices arrived in the mail, my employerʼs chances of collecting at all dropped to zero. Yet I watched her give credit to people who were obviously not credit-worthy, who told her so, and who did not even put a deposit on the order to cover expenses. If it happens to you, you will spend months, years even, on the telephone (or in court) trying to collect. All that time should be spent servicing clients who do business with the company regularly and pay their bills, as well as soliciting new business. Itʼs sad that the bad debts command more attention than the loyal customers when you extend credit. EFFECTIVE SELLING Everything depends on how effectively you sell.
