Dog friendly vineyards
With so many vineyards in Sussex,
it’s perhaps no surprise that many of
them are dog friendly. In West Sussex,
try Wiston Estate where dogs are
welcome at outside tables at their Chalk
restaurant, and on the estate’s public
footpaths. At Kinsbrook not far from
Horsham, all dogs are welcome in the
restaurant and around the vineyard
(although not in the farm shop).
In West Sussex, Bailiffscourt Hotel
and Spa at Climping offers luxury dog
friendly accommodation. Goodwood
Hotel also prides itself on being dog
friendly and dogs can join you in the
Farmer, Butcher, Chef restaurant or at
The Kennels clubhouse. And Goodwood
even host their own annual Goodwoof
event which celebrates all things canine.
In East Sussex, for a bit of canine luxury,
The Grand in Eastbourne is open to
hounds and gives doggy goodie bags
to their four-legged guests. Ashdown
Park Hotel is also dog friendly, and you
can walk your dog in their surrounding
parkland. Four-legged guests here receive
their own dog basket, blanket and bowls
for the duration of their stay.
