customer base, the pharmacy is a
huge asset to both regular customers
and the community. It manages a
large volume of prescriptions and
offers appointments for vaccines.
“It would be easy to say I’m most proud
of our fresh-cut meat counter or our
deli’s fried chicken because those are
tangibles that stand out, but the truth
is I’m most proud of our employees,”
explains Morrison, who has led the
store for four years and worked for
Super Saver’s parent company B&R
Stores for 18 years. “They make it all
possible by coming in, working hard
and having a smile on their faces.”
GOING THE DISTANCE TO
SERVE CUSTOMERS
Customer feedback is integral to
helping propel the store’s high level of
customer service. Feedback is collected
using a survey on the receipt tape,
and then shared with the retailer’s
60 full- and part-time employees.
“More often than not, I get to applaud
examples of good work that we’re
hearing from our customers and
thank our teams for going the extra
mile,” Morrison says. “We continually
hear that we are a friendly store.”
While the store doesn’t offer amenities
such as grocery carryout or online
ordering, Super Saver shines because
of the values employees demonstrate
each day. Employees across the
entire store are expected to uphold
B&R Stores’ six core values – value
our people, improve continuously,
care greatly, do things right, act with
integrity and delight customers.
“As a store leader, my priority is to lead
by example and give our employees
the tools and coaching they need to
be successful in their jobs,” Morrison
explains. “It all comes back to centering
ourselves on those six core values.”
