Yvonne Kustec is a Calgary-based artist, originally
from Oakville, Ontario. This body of work explores the
ancient narrative of the monstrous woman through
a contemporary lens to build a modern mythology
examining the symbolic nature of transformation.
Yvonne utilizes pattern in natural materials, combined
with synthetic elements to express the figurative body
in both traditional and abstracted forms.
