of the dangers inherent in their work.<br />

Iowa farmers take precautions and are<br />

sensitive to the need to be careful, especially<br />

at busy times like harvest, according to Iowa<br />

State University Extension and Outreach field<br />

agronomist Leah Ten Napel of Le Mars.<br />

“I think many farmers are aware of safety<br />

issues and do their best to mitigate those risks,<br />

but accidents still happen,” Ten Napel said.<br />

valid Iowa driver's license and provide proof of insurance.<br />

Iowa Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not<br />

required. Wages, dependent on wastewater certifications<br />

range from $24.33-$35.88/hr, with the ability to advance.<br />
