The only constant is change and the<br />
Coast is changing, just like everywhere.<br />
New issues arise, new people come to live, even<br />
more people come to visit. What continues to<br />
be true is that we're outnumbered.<br />
We overthinking humans are outnumbered,<br />
by trees and waterways and wildlife, by berries,<br />
rocks and raindrops. We're less important than<br />
migrations and seasons and tides. If there is a<br />
Coast Spirit, it is one of gratitude and obeisance<br />
to these aspects of living here that matter and<br />
that are increasingly rare in the<br />
human experience of the world.<br />
