The pinnacle of HKFC’s Rugby<br />
Season was back, with the<br />
Tradition HKFC 10s returning for<br />
the 36th edition of the World’s<br />
Best 10s. With international stars<br />
from over 20 different countries,<br />
we were guaranteed another 2<br />
days of drama, pace and dynamic<br />
rugby action!<br />

he <strong>2024</strong> tournament saw the<br />
competition expand to the largest<br />
it has ever been with 12 men’s<br />
teams & 8 women’s teams, whilst<br />
introducing 8 new teams into the fold<br />

alongside strong returning names like<br />
2023 Men’s Champions Tradition<br />
YCAC and Women’s Champions RKS<br />
Shogun RFC (formerly known as<br />
Samurai RFC).<br />
DAY 1<br />
The Men’s Tournament saw the form<br />
book get thrown out in Pool A, with<br />
new additions Pig Athletic Club (PAC)<br />
BaaBaas toppling Tradition YCAC in a<br />
tense affair (7-5), and dominating against<br />
Preseli Baabaas and China Five Stars.<br />
That was contrasted with smooth<br />
sailing for Shogun RFC, with the<br />
2023 runners-up scoring 18 tries and<br />
conceding none in Pool B.<br />
Pool C saw 2023 semi-finalists<br />
Streamline Sports Overseas Old Boys<br />
top the pool with 2 wins and a draw;<br />
although our favourite match of the<br />
pool was seeing HKFC Natixis Club<br />
secure 2nd place after Murray Brechin<br />
snatched victory on full-time against<br />
Taikoo Place Scottish Exiles.<br />
The Women’s Tournament saw the 8<br />
teams split into 2 pools of 4. Pool A saw<br />
RKS Shogun RFC back to winning ways<br />
despite close challenges from Haywards<br />
Tropics (10-5) and FindRugbyNow (7-5).<br />
Meanwhile, Pool B saw debutants<br />
China Five Stars emerge as<br />
title contenders with dominant
