Families <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Student</strong>s<br />
Going to college is both a new beginning and a<br />
continuation <strong>of</strong> your student’s life journey. Although<br />
students are now young adults, families will continue to<br />
play a valuable role in their growth and development.<br />
As a family member <strong>of</strong> a first-year student, the transition<br />
to college can be as stressful, emotional, and challenging<br />
for you as it is for your student.<br />
For these reasons, we think it is important for<br />
families who are able to make the trip this summer to<br />
come to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Orientation</strong>. We are pleased to<br />
<strong>of</strong>fer special programs and services to help ease your<br />
family’s transition.<br />
