Moving
on Campus
resIDeNtIAL stuDeNts
Part of the educational experience at USF involves
each student learning to balance personal needs with
shared responsibilities, and individual rights with
the common good. In order to live and lead in a
community environment that you will share with a
roommate and several other peers, you will partner
with your roommates, neighbors and residence life
staff to promote community safety, personal security,
and shared comfort. We look forward to your
positive contributions to campus life.
MOve-IN DAY
saturday, August 20
(As early as August 15 for International Students)
On Saturday, approximately 1,200 new students
will move into the residence halls. Your Orientation
Team will be up bright and early to meet, greet, direct
traffic and provide overall assistance to you and your
new fellow classmates. You will need to have your USF
ID to check in. Pick up your ID at the front desk of
your assigned Residence Hall, where Residence Life
staff will lead you through the check-in process. Your
designated move-in time will be provided to you via
mail by early August. For a complete schedule, Move-
In Day Tips, a packing list and guide to living with a
roommate, see the Office of Residence Life Web site:
move-in
computer labs are available,
but having your own computer
is a big convenience. laptops
save you a lot of your minimal
desk space in halls, plus there
are wireless internet
connections almost everywhere
on campus.
ALsO: bring flip-flops, a
bathrobe, and a little tote to
put your shower stuff in. It’s
really hard walking down the
hall trying to carry your shampoo,
conditioner, body wash,
shaving cream, etc., all while
trying to hold up your towel.
