VOCABULARY:<br />
Acne: Pimples triggered by puberty hormones.<br />
Circumcision: Removal of some of the skin around the penis.<br />
Ejaculation: <strong>The</strong> release of a milky white liquid through the penis.<br />
Erection: When the penis fills with blood, making it firmer <strong>and</strong> longer in size.<br />
Hormones: Special chemicals our bodies make to help it do things such as grow.<br />
Larynx: Voice box.<br />
Penis: Male reproductive organ.<br />
Puberty: Natural process your body goes through to become an adult.<br />
Scrotum: <strong>The</strong> external sac of skin that sits below the penis <strong>and</strong> contains the testicles.<br />
Sperm: <strong>The</strong> male reproductive cells.<br />
Testes: <strong>The</strong> gl<strong>and</strong>s that produce sperm cells.<br />
Urethra: <strong>The</strong> tube that empties urine from the bladder <strong>and</strong> in males, sperm <strong>and</strong> semen after puberty.<br />
Wet dream: An ejaculation that occurs during sleep.<br />

Labia: Skin folds in the vulva.<br />
Larynx: Voice box.<br />
Menstruation: Period; generally happens monthly <strong>and</strong> is the female body’s way of cleansing an<br />
unfertilised egg from her body.<br />
Ovulation: <strong>The</strong> release of a single egg from an ovary.<br />
Puberty: Natural process your body goes through to become an adult.<br />
Urethra: <strong>The</strong> tube that empties urine from the bladder.<br />
Uterus: Place in the female body where babies develop.<br />
Vulva: <strong>The</strong> external parts of the female reproductive system.<br />
