community observation visit
Purpose of the visit:
● To observe the interaction between people in a
community meeting.
● To identify the traditional beliefs, values and
attitudes demonstrated during the meeting.
● To observe how decisions are made.
Questions to guide the observation:
● What was the structure of the meeting? For example,
who was present, and who led the meeting?
● What subjects were discussed?
● Who introduced the subjects for discussion?
● Who participated?
● What traditional beliefs, values and attitudes were
displayed during the meeting?
● What decisions were made?
● How were they made?
● By whom?
