Organizing Secretary, various conferences of IADVL - at State and
National Level (Dermacon 2005). He was the National Joint
General Secretary of the IADVL I in 2010. He is also the founder
Secretary of the Scientific Cosmetological Society.
He has to his credit many books, multimedia and national and
international publications.
Pediatric dermatology and scientific use of cosmetology are his

obtained MD degree from kasturba medical college, Manipal. He
has made significant contributions in clinical and teledermatology.
He has published several research papers in premier index
journals. His works are cited in the standard text books of
dermatology. He has pioneered teledermatology ever since this
term was first coined in1995. His first publication in
teledermatology was in 1997 (Archives of Dermatology 1997;
133: 922-3). Since then he has contributed to the growth of this
subject. Proposed a) the first as well as revised classification of
teledermatology practice b) organization model for
teledermatology Practice c) Author based tertiary teledermatology
d) Integration model and e) proposed an acronym (CAP-HAT) to
design teledermatology practice. He has received several
overseas visiting fellowships and served in the editorial board of
IJDVL. He is a reviewer of several international journals. Delivered
several invited lectures at national and international conferences.
Teledermatology, psoriasis, sexually transmitted infections;
contact dermatitis and medical education are his field of interest.
He is involved in organizing CME and conference. He has received
Sir CV RAMAN AWARD form Government of Karnataka for best
research papers, LN SINHA Memorial award from IADVL and he is
