MEETINGS: CCMIDERMAMEET and/or any extraordinary general<br />

body meeting (EGBM) <strong>of</strong> IADVL may be conducted during<br />

MIDERMACON. (It is not mandatory that CCMIDERMAMEET<br />

should be held with MIDERMACON and may be held at a separate<br />

venue on a separate month and date).<br />

If the CCMIDERMAMEET and/or EGBM is held along with<br />

MIDERMACON then the Central Council meeting should preferably<br />

be held on 1st and 2nd day between 4pm-8pm. However, if<br />

necessary, It can also be a parallel meeting along with the<br />

scientific programme. Business meetings <strong>of</strong> various committees<br />

can run parallel to the conference.<br />

Business meetings <strong>of</strong> state/zone can be organized on first day if<br />

CUTICON/DERMAZONE is being organized simultaneously.<br />

ACCOUNTS/FINANCE: The financial rules governing DERMACON<br />

shall be applicable for MIDERMACON. The income from surplus <strong>of</strong><br />

MIDERMACON shall be utilized for covering the expenses <strong>of</strong><br />

CCMIDERMAMEET.<br />

Seed Money- Rs 10 lakhs as seed money will be allotted in the<br />

budget every year. This amount will be reviewed every three years<br />

by the Central Finance Committee and proposals in change if any<br />

shall be forwarded by them to the General Body for approval.<br />

Registration fees, waivers and IADVL sponsorship: To be<br />

decided by the Executive Committee in consultation with the<br />

Central Finance Committee and approved by the General Body.<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>it sharing: The surplus earned from the conference will<br />

divided 50-50 like the existing norms for DERMAZONES (50% to<br />

the state organizing the conference and 50% for the IADVL head<br />

quarters). Attempt will be made to hand over a minimum <strong>of</strong> 20% <strong>of</strong><br />

the total revenue collection to the IADVL . Audited accounts will be<br />

placed before the IADVL National Executive within 6 months <strong>of</strong> the<br />

last day <strong>of</strong> MIDERMACON.<br />

STALLS: They will be managed and organized as in any other<br />

IADVL conferences.<br />

HOSIPTALITY: Lunches may be working lunches . Social events<br />

may be held as per the discretion <strong>of</strong> the local organizing committee<br />

CONCLUSION: Most <strong>of</strong> the norms for DERMACON can be followed<br />

here also. Inaugural function should be simple. No mementos to<br />

be given. However a social evening will be organized on the first<br />

night <strong>of</strong> the conference.<br />

II) SOP for IJDVL and IDOJ<br />

IADVL<br />

NEWS<br />

IJDVL and IDOJ editor: Most aspects are common to both editors;<br />

where they are different, such features will be highlighted<br />

a) Term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice: The term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice for both editors will be as in<br />

the constitution, for a period <strong>of</strong> three years. At the end <strong>of</strong> the three<br />

year term, a fresh editor will be chosen as per procedures laid<br />

down below. The current editor may also apply, but fresh<br />

applications will also be invited and the search committee will be<br />

free to choose any one.<br />

b) Status <strong>of</strong> editors: Editors are to be considered as invited<br />

members <strong>of</strong> the executive committee as specified already by<br />

constitution committee. They will be invited to all EC meetings and<br />

CC meetings.<br />

c) Selection <strong>of</strong> Editors for IJDVL and IDOJ:<br />

The process <strong>of</strong> selection <strong>of</strong> editor-elect will start one and half years<br />

before the date <strong>of</strong> retirement <strong>of</strong> the editor whose tenure will be<br />

three years.<br />

An Editor Search committee comprising <strong>of</strong><br />

(a) 4 members who may be selected by the GB from past<br />

presidents, past editors, past Chairpersons IADVL Academy <strong>of</strong><br />

Dermatology and past Hon. General Secretaries shall be appointed<br />

which may be common for both thee journals.<br />

(b) The current President, editor and the current IADVL Academy<br />

Chairperson shall be ex-<strong>of</strong>ficio members.<br />

No IADVL member who is himself an applicant can be a<br />

member <strong>of</strong> the selection committee.<br />

The current editor, if seeking a second term (extension) can also<br />

apply, but fresh applications will also be invited and the search<br />

committee will be free to choose any one from the applicants. The<br />

current editor cannot be a member <strong>of</strong> the editor selection<br />

committee if he is also an applicant.<br />

The selection committee shall invite applications from IADVL lifemembers<br />

<strong>of</strong> at least 15 year’s experience since post graduation<br />

for these posts by advertisements in IJDVL, IDOJ, IADVL website<br />

and IADVL News.<br />

The application should contain the following data:<br />
