MEETINGS: CCMIDERMAMEET and/or any extraordinary general
body meeting (EGBM) of IADVL may be conducted during
MIDERMACON. (It is not mandatory that CCMIDERMAMEET
should be held with MIDERMACON and may be held at a separate
venue on a separate month and date).
If the CCMIDERMAMEET and/or EGBM is held along with
MIDERMACON then the Central Council meeting should preferably
be held on 1st and 2nd day between 4pm-8pm. However, if
necessary, It can also be a parallel meeting along with the
scientific programme. Business meetings of various committees
can run parallel to the conference.
Business meetings of state/zone can be organized on first day if
CUTICON/DERMAZONE is being organized simultaneously.
ACCOUNTS/FINANCE: The financial rules governing DERMACON
shall be applicable for MIDERMACON. The income from surplus of
MIDERMACON shall be utilized for covering the expenses of
CCMIDERMAMEET.
Seed Money- Rs 10 lakhs as seed money will be allotted in the
budget every year. This amount will be reviewed every three years
by the Central Finance Committee and proposals in change if any
shall be forwarded by them to the General Body for approval.
Registration fees, waivers and IADVL sponsorship: To be
decided by the Executive Committee in consultation with the
Central Finance Committee and approved by the General Body.
Profit sharing: The surplus earned from the conference will
divided 50-50 like the existing norms for DERMAZONES (50% to
the state organizing the conference and 50% for the IADVL head
quarters). Attempt will be made to hand over a minimum of 20% of
the total revenue collection to the IADVL . Audited accounts will be
placed before the IADVL National Executive within 6 months of the
last day of MIDERMACON.
STALLS: They will be managed and organized as in any other
IADVL conferences.
HOSIPTALITY: Lunches may be working lunches . Social events
may be held as per the discretion of the local organizing committee
CONCLUSION: Most of the norms for DERMACON can be followed
here also. Inaugural function should be simple. No mementos to
be given. However a social evening will be organized on the first
night of the conference.

NEWS
IJDVL and IDOJ editor: Most aspects are common to both editors;
where they are different, such features will be highlighted
a) Term of office: The term of office for both editors will be as in
the constitution, for a period of three years. At the end of the three
year term, a fresh editor will be chosen as per procedures laid
down below. The current editor may also apply, but fresh
applications will also be invited and the search committee will be
free to choose any one.
b) Status of editors: Editors are to be considered as invited
members of the executive committee as specified already by
constitution committee. They will be invited to all EC meetings and
CC meetings.
c) Selection of Editors for IJDVL and IDOJ:
The process of selection of editor-elect will start one and half years
before the date of retirement of the editor whose tenure will be
three years.
An Editor Search committee comprising of
(a) 4 members who may be selected by the GB from past
presidents, past editors, past Chairpersons IADVL Academy of
Dermatology and past Hon. General Secretaries shall be appointed
which may be common for both thee journals.
(b) The current President, editor and the current IADVL Academy
Chairperson shall be ex-officio members.
No IADVL member who is himself an applicant can be a
member of the selection committee.
The current editor, if seeking a second term (extension) can also
apply, but fresh applications will also be invited and the search
committee will be free to choose any one from the applicants. The
current editor cannot be a member of the editor selection
committee if he is also an applicant.
The selection committee shall invite applications from IADVL lifemembers
of at least 15 year’s experience since post graduation
for these posts by advertisements in IJDVL, IDOJ, IADVL website
and IADVL News.
