Points to consider when renting:
• The number of people in your party;
• The amount and size of your luggage, including hand luggage and any
shopping you may pick up during the course of the rental period. (NB:
Roof-racks may not always be available, and generally only smaller cars
are hatchback);
• The length of your journey and passenger comfort;
• Child seats for young passengers;
• Ideal car size, for example, if your party is five adults or more, it may be
worth considering a people carrier.

• Collision damage waiver;

• Airport service charge;
• Local taxes and VAT;
• Registration/road tax;
• 24-hour roadside assistance.
Rental requirements
Rental Terms
Any rental you make in satisfaction of your prepaid reservation will be made on
the terms and conditions of rental of the Hertz Pick Up Location.
Driving License
All drivers (i.e. including any additional drivers) must present a full and valid
driving licence at commencement of the rental, which they have held for
a minimum of one year.
Credit Card/Deposit
You must bring a credit card in your name. Most major credit cards are accepted,
including American Express, Visa and Mastercard. A credit card deposit will be
taken at the rental counter to cover reasonably anticipated charges that may be
incurred during the rental, such as refuelling and damage costs.
Age
Age restrictions may apply to your rental. A Young Driver Surcharge may apply to
drivers under 25.

Amendments, cancellations and no shows
Changes to reservation
If at the time of vehicle collection you wish to rent a larger car or rent for a longer
period, you may do so, subject to availability, on payment of additional charges.
Such charges will be quoted in the currency of the renting country and may be at
a higher rate than those previously quoted.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your reservation for any reason you must telephone Hertz
on your local Hertz number and be ready to quote the information contained
your Reservation Confirmation. Cancellation is not valid by any other method.
If you cancel your reservation within 14 days of the date of the Reservation
Confirmation a full refund will be made to you. If you cancel your reservation
after the 14 day period, we reserve the right to make a Cancellation Charge to
cover our administration costs, which we will deduct from the refund we make
to you.
No shows
If you fail to cancel your reservation prior to the Pick Up Time and do not collect
the vehicle on the Pick Up Date, we reserve the right to make a No Show Charge,
which recovers our administration costs and compensates us for our inability to
rent the vehicle when it was reserved for your use.
We will refund your prepayment, less the No Show Charge, if you write to us
within 90 days of the Pick Up Date at - Hertz Prepaid Accounting Department,
Hertz Europe Service Centre, Swords Business Park, Swords, Co. Dublin,
Ireland - requesting repayment and enclosing a copy of your prepaid Reservation
Confirmation.
Early return
Please note that we are unable to give a refund if you return the vehicle early.
Availability
All reservations are made subject to availability. We regret that we may not be
able to supply the car class/group or additional equipment required. If we are
unable to conform with your vehicle reservation, we will endeavour to offer
you an alternative vehicle in the next highest class/group, at no extra charge.
Alternatively, we will refund your reservation charges in full.
We regret that we are unable to accept any liability to you for any direct loss
or damage which you incur which was not reasonably foreseeable by us, or for
any indirect loss or damage, arising from our failure to honour any part of your
reservation.
