Expedition – the stages
From Soissons
to the whole country
The small town of Soissons, with its 30,000 inhabitants, is home to the headquarters of TRD Inox.
From here the company sells long products made of stainless steel to France.
The warehause and the administrative building of TRD Inox in Soissons
TRD Inox was founded in Soissons,
50 km northwest of Reims,
the capital of Champagne, in 1987
by the Belgian family Lambrecht,
who had already es tab lished
Cotubel, Noxon and Asadin. The
company was founded as a sales
channel and was the exclusive
The administrative building at the TRDinox location
supplier of welded stainless steel
pipes and fi ttings to the French
retail sector. In the course of time
the product range was expanded
and the customer port folio extended
by end consumers, who
today account for approx. 80 % of
sales. New sales offi ces were also
added, one in Saint Nazaire near
Nantes – in the immediate vicinity
of the largest French ship yard, in
which Queen Mary II was built. In
early 2000 another subsidiary was
founded in Lyon. Today the company
has its headquarters in Soissons
and subsidiaries in Meyzieu,
near Lyon, and in St. Nazaire.
Time brings changes
Although the company is relatively
young, TRD Inox has already
expe rienced many changes. Six
years after its foundation, it was
taken over by Marcegaglia before
be ing incorporated into the IMS
Group in 2006 and thus integrated
into Hub France. In 2010 IMS
was then taken over by Jacquet
Metals. TRD Inox was initially labelled
Stainless Tubular Solutions.
In recent years the company’s
product range has changed. Up to
June 2011 above all welded and
seamless stainless steel pipes,
elbows, fl anges and other fi tt ings
were stored. In addition, the company
ATR, which at that time was
also based in Soissons and acted
as a division of TRD Inox, sold a
wide range of welded boiler pipe
segments made of engineering
steel. However, in September
2011 ATR was dissolved and the
warehouse stock was sold.
