Innovations at TUBE
From 26 th to 30 th of March the tube industry will meet at the world’s leading trade fair “Tube” in Düsseldorf. This year Stappert will
focus on duplex and super duplex grades and an inspirational innovation from the “renewable energies” sector.
Stappert … the natur e of steel
“Welcome to the Solar Bar” is
Stappert’s motto this year at the
fair booth, because in the midst
of the hustle and bustle of the
fair the company will create a feel
good oasis for the visitors where it
will present the variety of stainless
steel products from the “… nature
of steel”. One focus will be on the
pipes and fi ttings made of the
grades 1.4462 and 1.4539. These

Stappert continued a much­loved tradition and invited its customers to a visit to the Cannstatter Wasen
festival. In splendid autumn weather they enjoyed a day and evening which brought them closer.
The Swabian counterpart to the
Bavarian Oktoberfest began in
Stuttgart on 23rd of Steptember.
Thanks to the golden autumn, the
Cannstatter Wasen once again
attracted several million visitors
to the Neckarpark in Stuttgart.
Centred around the fruit column,
the historical symbol of the harvest
festival, more than 320 fairground
operators, publicans and market
traders offered their wide range of
wares to ensure that a good mood
prevailed for the two weeks of the
festival.

That the extensive product range
offered by Stappert inspires genuine
innovations is illustrated by
an example from the “renewable
energies” sector.

Stappert also spent one day there
with its customers. Because the
guests came from almost all over
Germany, their journey by train was
organised so that some met at the
main station in Frankfurt. From
there they travelled together by
ICE to Stuttgart. A special box
was reserved for some 80 visitors
from Weil der Stadt, Ulm, Freiburg,
Mannheim, Hanover, Leipzig and
Niederaula in the “Fürstenberg”
beer tent on 7th of October, and a
great time was had by all. Natur ally
the lively atmosphere in the traditional,
rustic environment was used

who have concentrated on
the use of re newable energies for
many years will present the application
of these piping systems.
The benefi ts of these systems lie
on the one hand in a more positive
ecological balance as aluminium
requires more energy to produce
than stainless steel. On the other
hand the use of stain less steel offers
the option of unmixed design,
which provides greater stability,
because aluminium structures are
frequently fas tened using stainless
steel screws. Two grades are thus
used together which have different
thermal characteristics and this
can lead to instability. Another ad-

Afterwards the guests were taken
by bus to the Amber Hotel Leonberg,
where rooms were reserved
for them, in order to round off the
day and gather energy for their return
journeys. Following breakfast
the next morning, everybody set
off for home, hoping that this great
tradition will be continued.

have been developed for this purpose
– a plug-in system made of
stainless steel. Here stainless
circular tubes are used as connecting
elements for the structure,
which itself consists of hollow
rectangular sections. This system
simplifi es installation and increases
stability. The pipes required
are supplied by Stappert.
