The Javelina volleyball team
The Javelina volleyball team wore pink warmups and game jerseys on
“Dig Pink” night last week at a home volleyball match in the Steinke
Physical Education Center. The annual event helps promote breast cancer
awareness month.
Javelina coaches, athletes and fans and representatives from Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg wore pink at a
home volleyball match last week to promote breast cancer awareness. Among those pictured are Javelina athletic
director Ken Oliver, sixth row far right; Bo Atterberry, Javelina head football coach, second row far left, and
Norman McBride, Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg vice president and COO, second row, second from the right.
A group from the Javelina baseball team showed their support for the
volleyball team with their body paint, and also supported the breast cancer
awareness campaign by substituting the gold paint with pink for last
week’s match in the Steinke Physical Education Center.
