AN ABILENE CHRISTIAN fan posted some nice comments on the Javelina
home football experience after attending the recent game between the Javelinas and
Wildcats in Javelina Stadium.
The fan called the tailgate experience “awesome” and said it “rivals a lot of D1
schools…the Javelinas should be proud.”
“The way that A&M-Kingsville gets so many people involved is the key to their
having such a great gameday experience,” the fan continued. “The train is such a
great tool for that. They had eating contests in the end zones shown on the screen,
kiss cams, the military, Whataburger…a group from the band came over to the
stands and played to the crowd. The big loud chopper leading them on the field. It is
a production.
“The band is by far the best I’ve heard at any D2 game. The horns are
powerful. …”
It’s nice to hear the Javelina program praised, especially by a fan from a visiting
chool.
